She Cut My Heart In Two

She Cut My Heart In Two

A few days ago I visited, my parents first neighborhood;
Where we moved from Philadelphia, so my father’s business could do good!
Dayton Ohio, was our new home, in a large apartment house;
I gazed upon our old building, such memories it roused!
.
I remembered my lovely neighbor, Terry Newburg was her name;
With two long braids of three feet, a most magnificent mane!
We frolicked together often, through the second and third grade;
She was this writer’s first heart throb, with her braids I often played!
.
Late one Summer, before school started, her family took a trip;
She was gone for over one week, such a pout upon my lips!
Finally, then the day came, when I knew they would return;
I woke up early in the morning, my stomach began to churn!
.
At noon, I saw their car parked, so I knocked on their front door;
When she opened it my mouth dropped, my heart so quickly tore!
Her long braids had been chopped off, she now sported a poodle do;
My girlfriend had betrayed me, I had lost my first love true!
.
.
Beautiful braids gone
She cut our love life so short
I wept many days

Awww...You REALLY do appreciate long locks on ladies, don't you Larry?  I am sorry she was your first heartbreak at such a young age to discover how long locks really cause  your heart to flutter.  I am glad Linda keeps her hair very long like Rapunzel for you.  I sometimes consider cutting my hair, but then I read how much it seems to mean to men, and I reconsider.....lol...Someday it will be inevitable, but for now I use it to hide my insecurities.  This made me laugh.  I can just imagine your young face when she came to the door....awww....xo Love n Hugs to you and Linda

My Dear Cherie,

I developed my passion for long hair, because before we moved from Philadelphia to Dayton, my father used to have to leave us for six weeks at a time, to cover his midwestern territory.  I used to lay in bed with my mother, and play with her hair.  That is the origin of my "manea".  I still think sometimes about the horror I felt, when Terry opened the door, and her beautiful long braids had been cut off.

All my love,
Larry xxx

P.S.  How would Tony feel if you cut your hair?

My Dear Tony,

Who knows, if she hadn't cut off her braids, that we wouldn't have been together throughout our young years, or maybe even til this day?
Of course, I guess that never would have happened though, for the stars had my Soulmate Linda, lined up for my future.

All my love,
Larry xxx
