" She Dreams Of Being Human "...

She sits among the clouds, quietly contemplating what it must be like
To live on the planet below, to do the things they do, to experience one night
Among the peoples who live and dance and lead such messy lives

She wonders if the gods might not notice if she slipped out through the ruins
Make her way into a bustling township where people know just what they're doing
Or perhaps she should go to them and say, " I'd like to walk among the humans! "

But she rules that out, for she knows the Gods will toss her all about
Cast her into another Galaxy where her memory would be disavowed
She would lose ALL her favorite memories of what humans were all about

She sits  among the clouds praying to the Gods for a simple miracle of days
She screams out loud " Heavens here my cries, and show me the way!"
She plots a simple scheme to get the Gods to look away one day

She gazes at the planet and begins to imagine that she's a queen
She lays her head on clouds and begins imagining the scene
When a gust of wind caresses her cheek, and she begins to dream

She's walking in castle garden where in the courtyard there awaits
A man dressed in flowing royal robes, who begins to come her way
She falls into his arms and looks up into his eyes, she does not hesitate
She kisses him with passion and lingers in his loving, warm, embrace
She finds her knees are weakened when she realizes, she is wide awake

She sits among the clouds, recalls the garden with all the lilacs blooming
And how the Gods have punished her, after all, what was she doing
She fights a single tear, for still, She Dreams Of Being Human......
