She Stood Looking

 Trisha Barrek Hopkins
Dedicated to my mother Christine Barrek
(I)
She stood lookingÂ
Just standing here thinking
Answers she demands
But all she got were lies
Where ever she stands
They were piling as high as the blue sky
Thoughts circling her mind
She don't know what to look for
What to find
This routine is becoming a bore
People she has to get
Questions she will need
People she never met
Her eagerness she has to feed
With all this madness she can't breathe
She asks the one she trusts what to do
Everythings a damn blur
Asking God what he knew
And if possible to show her
(II)
She may never find out
She may not know
But right at this moment
She wants to punch someone out
Asking God a clue to show
She don't know what to believe
To God she pleads
She wants to go but forbids to leave
Her hearts feelings stop doesn't bleeds
Just once she wants to win
To yell to blame
To catch him in the act showing a sin
To her that will be her fame
Prove everyone wrong
Even though she'll be sad
She'll sing her victory song
Then she'll prove to everyone she wasn't going mad
She'll stop thinking about that thing
She just wants the truth
Peace to her soul it will bring
(III)
But for now she scurries up a plan
All will come out in the open
All will hit the fanÂ
She will catch him in the act
Yes her heart will be broken
But she would had proven a fact
Every word that she repeated all that she had spoken
He can't get away with this forever
After all this is done I wonder
Will they stay together
That thought undecided
In her for others is there forgiveness....never
