She was Blinded By The Light

She was Blinded By The Light

Life at times
was difficult
promises made
only to beΒ
broken

Idealism
set
in
Wanting
a Revolution

Emotions
weighed
more
than
deductive
reasoning

Facts
ignored
as the
agenda
held
to be
the
only
truth
As she
was blinded
by
the light

Yet inΒ
the end
the light
became
like
a cheap
light bulb
bought
at the
dollar store

Fizzled out
quickly
which
left
her
in the
dark
