Poem -
She watched as everything that

- She watched as everything that was to be,
- Her forever, her rock, taken away swiftly.
- More lies that cause scars,
- To a mind already behind bars.
- Everything she was made to suffer through;
- Made the statue defending crumble when the wind blew.
- Finally tired of all the tears,
- Shed thoughout her many years.
- Her mind begins again to wonder,
- But only dark thoughts can she ponder.
- Should she give up hope,
- or give herself more rope?
- Beleiving that this joyous strife,
- Is all that is to be her life.
- No she will make peace with a past;
- Knowing one day have the strength to outlast,
- And in time wholey forget
- All past sorrow and regret.
- For she still hears the cries
- Of the ones she loves, with innocent eyes.
- Those thoughts she allows to cause so much unrest,
- Eventually created a most unwanted guest.
- Even though it may hurt to,
- They need to be sorted through.
- Its only for her sanitys sake
- She must discern whats real or fake.
- Or risk becoming numb,
- Having never overcome;
- Every slight they had committed.
- Creating a shell that neatly fitted,
- Around a belief that true trust,
- Was as rare as gold dust.
- Why allow ghosts to contradict,
- What you couldn't predict?
- Instead give the world a chance
- To show all people don't hold a lance.
- This truth should show how to rid you of this fear.
- Never again, letting it interfere,
- With a chance to begin anew,
- A life in which awaits someone new.
- Who wants you to know,
- That you had him at hello.
- And no matter the choice she deems to make;
- Loving her was never a mistake.
- But if he is destined on that day,
- For luck to shine his way,
- The only thing that need be said,
- Is that even after he be dead,
- Forever in his heart a space will be,
- Where she will be safe, behind lock and key.
