SHE WON'T FORGET

What a true story I have just read on the internet
Concerns a Dutch lady who will never forget
For the last forty five years she's attended a grave
Paying a tribute to a soldier who died young and brave

Laid on the grave are plants, candles or flowers
Every week this lady attends and stays there for hours
She is grateful to this soldier for her freedom today
A story like this touches my heart I have to say

This lady's own father is in a grave very close by
So much sadness that it makes me nearly cry
The Royal Air Force heard of this lady's devotion
A heartwarming tale full of bitter sweet emotion
