Angels never leave my side
They were there in that moment
Between the shifting tide
And falling of the moon
Inside your very last moment
before death
The stillness of your breath,

That moment you entered the light
Returning to me a star,

Angels are everywhere you are

They never leave my Side
though you've gone from my sight
furthermore a star
reaching across the heavens at night

I hold you still inside of my heart
within love's strongest light,

beside me long after each falling moon
each rising and shifting tide,
I hold onto you in death
still alive,

inside my soul you have not died.
