Shining Like Diamonds

Standing lifeless in time and space.
When the last flower dies in silence
That is when I would stop loving you.

Until then I shall bring you love poems.
And flowers from every fragrant meadow.
My words will cover your heart like silk.
My will flowers will perfume your soul

Songs shall dance in the starlight.
And other lovers will be in wonder
At the poetry flowers and music
That you wear as a gown of love.

I see your beauty asleep in my vigil
My dreams have poured into yours.
Like the soft warm rain of springtime
You gaze awakened eyes into mine.

And see the man who was moulded
By the maker from humble clay
But shines in your sunlight
like diamonds.
