Shipwrecked Man

The ocean knows not where he's been
With loved ones left alone again
Her waters calm, her beauty deep
Acceptance his, a good nights sleep
There comes a time in this man's life
When storms arise, a cheating wife
Some men set sail amidst the wind
Only to find her back again
A good man says, "So long, Goodbye"
A wise man says, "I'll try and try"
But fish don't sleep among the sharks
So why allow her snide remarks?
There's plenty room aboard my ship
I beckon him, "Let's take a trip"
I dreamt this day of sand and sun
Upon my face his fingers run
I tell a tale amidst his chest
On naked flesh his fingers rest
The tides they turn as we set sail
The sea she loves our wicked tale
A shipwrecked man he is no more
My love he found upon the shore

Stephanie so many twists and turns, an obscure story that spoke volumes to me. I loved it and the momentum and rhyming flow were spot on. You have a great talent. I am a big fan. A vote and nom all the way for me:)
Thank you Rachel!!!! I always write from personal experience. I've never been good with "fiction" Thankfully my crazy life has given me plenty to write about :) I appreciate you even reading it !! XO
