Shooters Restaurant-Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Shooters Restaurant-Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Divorced in the early 1980’s, I wintered on Florida’s eastern coast;
My main hang was called “Shooters”, where gorgeous gals hung out the most!
Friday’s happy hour was a smorgasbord, of hot chicks there after work;
A complimentary hot buffet, was a tremendous drawing perk!
.
You could always meet a hottie, if you had the gift of gab;
Especially if one would offer, to pick up their bar tab!
Sundays, they opened at 11 a.m., but the bar could not sell drinks for an hour;
However, they poured you free champagne, if a nice tip on them, you’d shower!
.
By noon, I’d throw down six glasses, and my buzz would be flying high;
With lots of honeys surrounding me, for a hook-up I would try!
But I was not looking for a one-night stand, a love connection did I seek;
I came close a couple times, but never reached the peak!
.
It was not till ten years later, that I finally found my mate;
The Thursday night that I met her, my heart and Soul felt great!
After Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, of dates and unknown bliss;
Monday night, we pledged our love forever, then sealed it with a kiss!
.
.
‘Twas forty-eight years
For my Soul to find its mate
But well worth the wait
