Shopping

Shopping

I used to love shopping with my mum.
Funny, as it's only just occurred to me, 30 years on.
She must've liked it too, I reckon,
Time is quality,
Mum and son.
I'd go off and look at stuff, clothes and toys for boys, if they had some.
I particularly remember the escalator in one, it could have been Marks & Spencer, or C&A maybe, not sure. One of the big high street stores.
There was always that familiar smell, don't know what it was. Perhaps a cross between clean linen, and warm air blowing from above. The golden lighted  tunnel, always special, for some reason or another. Grandeur, looking back. But as a minor, couldn't pin point that.
The treat for lunch, Wimpy or McDonald's?
Our choice, me and my brother's,
Burgers were always our favourites.
On the bus ride home, I'd doze, my head would rest upon the window.
"Wake up love, it's time to go"
I love you Mum.
More than you know.

Lol! Cheers Greg! Not many of them around nowadays, my kids had never even heard of Wimpy burgers! â˜ș

Reminds me of weekend visits with my Dad.  He'd take to wimpys in Stratford . I always ordered the Brown Derby . What a great dessert. Thanks for bringing that memory up.
