Maybe I should listen with my heart

and not my ears,

so that I can hear

the words you do not speak

maybe I should open my eyes and

look with your soul,

so that your true emotions,

I don't have to seek

maybe I should try to be a bit more

understanding,

instead of flying off the henge

when I misunderstand

maybe I should try a little harder,

to feel what it is you're feeling,

try a little harder at being your man

maybe I should know when you're

not telling me the whole story,

I should, know how

to read between the lines

maybe just maybe, I should pay more

attention, maybe then I could see inside

your mind

maybe I should care a lot more, about

what's going on within your world, and

a little less about what's going on in mine

maybe all you really need, all you ever really

wanted, was just a little more of my time.
