SHOW AND TELL

 
I wish someone would point me
In the direction of love
For my heart has stumbled 
Along life's broken paths 

The years of sunshine 
Has sapped my youth
Now the night is closing in 
And my quiver remains empty 

How I long for tiny tracks 
Alongside mine in the sand
But I am left alone with outstretched hands

When will love open its door to my cry
Why should I be lonely evermore 
And all of my desires die

Someone.. Anyone..
Please point me in the direction of love 
For the compass of my heart is broken 
And I shall embrace the night
