A show she fell for

She opens the curtain and puts on a show for those who watch. 
A joyous performance, convincing everyone that she lived a life of a simple fairy tale. 
However, this show somehow hurt her because she knew she was only lying to everyone, 
including herself. 
She stood on that stage in front of everyone and fell to her knees.  
 One tear after another fell to the ground like rainfall. 
She finally took off her mask that she wore for years on end. 
The audience gasped as this occurred for they were frightened to see such thing. 
"What happened to girl with the beautiful smile?" someone asked. 
For the mask was the smile that she bared to those people. 
As the people's disappointment propelled them away , 
the girl grew still and silent. 
No one dared even to check on her for they thought it was a new performance, 
a performance that downcasted her spectators, 
and no one in this life time cares to feel the emotions of depression.
