SHULAMITH'S DANCE OF THE MAHANAIM (Song of Solomon 6:13-7:13) Blade of the Bride

Solomon, your gaze of desire settles on me;
Alone, in our chamber, I will dance for thee!
My husband, kiss my lips as I bare openly
The beauty your eyes are ravenous to see.
How graceful the line of you voluptuous thighs;
As thin veils part to beguile my amorous eyes!
Every sway and circle of your hips tantalize!
Tresses of black caress breasts of a luscious size!
I am queen, yet, your lover I would be tonight.
Head to foot I am created for your every delight!
Savor this feast...an oblation to arouse and excite!
As we entwine a vehement flame will ignite!
Love, your incense entices to stir my passion!
A seductive scent which urges ardent action!
Shulamith, you move with sensual attraction!
You are desire and complete satisfaction!
Solomon, take me north to the countryside.
To the vineyards and meadows; love me as your bride.
The fragrance of mandrakes will arouse and provide
Springtime pleasures as we ease into eventide!

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Here I present to you my interpretation of the Dance of Mahanaim. It is my opinion that the SONG OF SONGS by King Solomon is GOD'S INSTRUCTION MANUAL on the subject of sex in marriage. God is the creator of sex (that's why it is so good!), so it is only fitting He should give us instruction on sex in marriage. This poem begins as Shulamith desires to make love to her husband and aggressively takes the initiative. As part of their love play and as her way of arousing her husband's sexual interest, she dances before him without inhibition. I end the poem at the point that their sexual encounter is consummated and as they lie together Shulamith brings up the subject of a visit to the countryside which Solomon promised her on their wedding night (Chapter 4:8).
