Sick

Sick

The laughter of children,
but your house bare,
nothing to give care,
lonesome feeling,
nothing worth reaching,
sickness can come in many forms,
but this is the worst of all,
days past,
regrets will last,
you will find nothing worth living for,
crippled by mentality,
laughing cures most,
but not all,
mind clouded by thoughts,
get past the past,
but there is always past after future,
forever stuck,
reliving in nightmares,
eternal agents of despair,
the only cure comes from medication,
but what about self determination?
sickness in its most brutal form,
comes from the mind,
and spreads to the heart,
living,
but dead too.

Christina Smith, so well written, was actually talking to someone last night about this subject, and it seems so prevalent in our society today, your approach is spot on in dealing with a very difficult matter, I commend your honesty and conversational wording on an excellent poem, and yes, welcome, poet
