Poem -

the silence snatched my coal.

the silence snatched my coal.

Oh love the days drag like cement
Behind my weary soul
Once you left me within that midnight air
the silence snatched my coal
No burning embers around my freezing heart
Just an empty hollow
Awaiting the beating to restart
I can't feel the rain upon my shivering body
As the hyperthermia sets in
Just the image of a ghost upon my shallow breathing
Haze of mind to sorrow
Shall thus live
another cold night alone
Or die abandoned turned to stone.
