Silent Attack

Silent Attack

Why'd you have to come back
I was doing fine without you
Why lay this down before me
After all we've been through

You twist me til I break
You push me til I fall
You push me back to size
When I'm feeling tall

Why must you give this torture
To cause me so much pain
Why must you steal my coat
When I'm standing in the rain

Why do I feel so much
I thought I had moved on
I guess I only fooled myself
When I thought that you were gone

You make me give you trust
Thinking your words are true
But then you take great joy
In my pain of losing you

And every time I move on
You always come back
And when I think I'm strong enough
You always attack

(I can't hope to compete with the eloquence of those that have commented before me, so brevity will have to suffice in it's stead!)

Great poem!
