"Two sides of the story" By Ben Goode 2013 (c)

"Two sides of the story" By Ben Goode 2013 (c)

Sitting on the stairs, a ghost I see at night.

Frozen all I am. Alone I am in fright.

All it seems to do, their eyes are lost in stare.

Oblivious to me. And yet they're really there.

And plain for me to see. Do they even know?.

Can they really be? A ghost that feels so low?

Sitting on the stairs, a ghost I see at night.

A reflection in my mind, a soul of pure light

Will they ever go, and find some peace some day?

Just sitting on the stairs, I wish they'd find their way!"

"Mortal man I sit here, the sadness never ends.

Tormented in a limbo, a ghost without a friend.

I watch you in envy, as you stand, and stare at me.

I sit here every night, I just want your company.

I am really here, but you seem to always doubt.

You never talk to me, you seem to want me out.

I want to find some peace, to greet the other side.

I lost my way somehow, and do not have a guide.

Would you just sit down, and stop with all your stares?

I want to be your friend, and know someone who cares."
