Six Million-The Prequel

The Gestapo got a tip today; they’re pounding on our door;
Some Jew hater has turned us all in; we’re not safe here anymore!
How did it ever come to this, in just a few so crazy years?
Now I wish we’d all have listened to the warnings of our fleeing peers!
But this was the land of all our ancestors; we’d lived for eons long;
My Grandfather fought The Prussian War, and sang “The Deutschland’s” song!
So we decided that we would not run, for surely the world would see;
That Hitler needed to be quickly stopped, and save our Germany!
But the countries then all turned their backs, and gave him his free reign;
And every week he grew more strong, and on us, inflicted pain!
It started out with “Kristallnacht”, a portal of things to be;
But still we thought the nations would act, and stop the insanity!
But after that it all got worse, from broken windows and burned books;
To the segregation of all the Jews, and our neighbors dirty looks!
For no longer were we citizens, of the nation that we loved;
They had a last solution planned, that came down from the highest brass above!
For the Brotherhood of Aryans, had decided we must not live;
For all the German inadequacies, the Jews were blamed to give!
That brings us up in history, to the pounding on our door;
There’s no way we cannot let them in, we cannot hide here anymore!
They tell us to pack some suitcases; you will all have to relocate;
To some camps out in the country, and new jobs we’ll designate!
We take our best possessions and the Menorah’s on our doors;
To start this brand new journey, and work out in the moors!
We arrive down at the station, with all that we now own;
With memories of long past train rides, to visit relatives we once had known!
They say drop all your baggage, when you arrive you’ll get it back;
But your transportation’s coming; we hear it rolling down the tracks!
We’re looking for some sleeping cars, that we can all get rested in;
But the ones that come are for animals, and our deepest fears begin!
We’re packed in by the hundreds, hungry and in darkness, we ride for days;
We arrive, and the doors all swing wide open, and the stench of putrid air does us amaze!

Hello Larry…
As I read your letter about the atrocities of the nazis in Europe thought in those sixty million people who left behind if this Germanic madness, thought in the II Spanish Republic who fell trying to stop it, I thought those two genocides of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and the threat that we are still all. It takes reason Cherie, the events of the beginning of the 21st century are very similar to the vivid at beginning of 20th century and when humanity loses values more primary malignant anything can happen.
A greeting and congratulations for sharing the blackest pages of our most recent history.
Hi Lucas,
I've noticed that every time you write to me on one of my poems, that have been rated 5 stars "by the VIP poetry pundits" , my rating drops to four stars. Can you explain why?
Larry
I could never think that an opinion can influence in the qualification of a poem, but your question... What can I say? The human mind is always complex and the mind of a poet is also human.
A greeting.
Hi Lucas,
The mind of this poet might be complex, but the eyesight is 20/20. It shows me that my rating drops from 5 stars to 4 every time you rate one of my works. I need to know why.
Larry
Hahahahahahaha, all we need to know things, but I insist, there are very complex things to understand and this may be one more than them.
A greeting.
Hi Lucas,
Let's make this "plain and simple".  The next time I see one of my 5 star rated poems drop down to 4 stars because of you, I can only surmise that you are purposely sabotaging my work; at which time, I'm going to contact cosmofunnel, and see what can be done to alleviate this situation.
Hi Larry I  have noticed this myself on two of my poems after Lucas commented on them, and then i noticed others, it really does`nt bother me  in the slightest  but i can see where you are coming from  LUCAS WHY ARE YOU COLLECTING STARS hahaha
Warm Regards to you and yours Larry
Debs
Hello Larry...
Possibly as you claim, but I can assure you that this has nothing to do with me, I just I've limited to pour an opinion about a poem.
A greeting.

Hi Georgina,
You just might be the cause of my early demise; for with the words you just have written my ego might blow my brain to smithereens! I don't have the words to respond. Getting back down to earth, you inspired me with your poem "The Computer Virgin", to write my humorous poem which portrays something I've dealt with for 55 years; "Justifiable Road Rage". I would love for you to read it, and if it brings you half the chuckles your poem brought Linda and me, I've accomplished what I set out to do.
Hugs, Peace and Love,
xox Larry
