Poem -

Skipping stones.

There's a settlement on the water In light of your absent heart

The ripples have subsided Since we've been apart

No stone to skip across the lake

The ducks have and come and gone away, there's a curtain sorrow dwelling On my soul today,

I'm lost in the calm reflection, of my thoughts of longing and distress

I'm not a one for showing, but complete and utter mess,

I found a place of stillness, where eternity and I found you,

and as I weep in silence, make peace within the view

I cannot stand to be without you, the lake it doesn't seem the same,

I see you in the water, and distance song birds call your name,

I havnt had your doating eyes set in mine a little time,

and struggle with my words as though the night would never rhyme

I miss you in great amounts, I can hardly bare the thought of losing your smile

In all my dreams and wishful thinking I had you closer for the while

So let me daydream long and loving And in my arms you hold me tight

I miss you most in darkness For you my love are light

I used to view the ripples, as we skipped a stone to our best part,

in all the ways I love you most, within my soul Within my heart.
