Skull and Bones

Skull and Bones

when skull and bones
is all that  I see
you say it's a choice
please !  spare me!

this world in a turmoil
I can't be in denial
sick of this rat race
my quest for survival

I am incapable
of ignoring ignorance
the racists and the greedy
ahead of  brilliance

when skull and bones
is all that I see
when Louis Vuitton
is  p r I o r I t y

over a helping hand
or a volunteered offering
or to call to a friend
or help the suffering

when skull and bones
is all that I see
not all the meditation
can set me free

when skull and bones
is all that I see
it's not my choice
it's my r e a  l i t y...

Hi BB,  this is very crafted well my friend........one of my favorites of yours actually........great sense of timing in this........And mostly I agree with the sentiment here........this world really does have a way of diverting your eye from the truly important things in life........I am surprised and happy that you wrote on this subject matter.........only because your really great writes are usually on world affairs or something......I really like that you put this on front street.........well done my friend..........smiles.....T  xx

Thanks Tony. I think you got that I was referring to depression and honestly it was Robin William ' suicide that got me to write this. I really think many people think that depression is just a choice. I've been told that 'I like being depressed! ' which I find insulting. I'm actually afraid of it! There have been times that I begged a friend to stay because I knew how depressed I was. So no, depression is not a choice, at least not for everyone and not all the time. More over, I do believe it's chemical:hence more than often if you produce serotonin from working iut, you do tend to feel better. Any ways thanks for reading and your comments as always.
