Slain
Wilt in briar from fatal kiss,
Myriad of foes ravenous in bide,
Fruore, blood lust, perfidious,
They desire to rip the flesh from my hide.
impetuous, dragged into mire,
Inhuman strength, my jugular crushed,
Decimated and set on fire,
My weeping breath abruptly hushed.
Cackling midst my blackened corpse,
Succumbed to darkness and yet I live,
Surrounded by vampiric hordes,
I'm quick to angst and less forgive.
Repacious thirst sinks it's teeth,
Slain I no longer need to breathe,
My former mortal self in wraithe,
Piercing eyes, I bubble and seethe.
New birth I seek to avenge,
My hunger gifts a sombre strength,
Ironic dawn of epic revenge,
My new callous abode knows no length.

What I like about this piece the most.....and I like it entirely...but what stands out for me is the 'vocabulary'...because when you are a vampire, you get to live for a LONG time and most certainly would have developed serious language skills and a true appreciation of words.....It was what I LOVED so much about the Vampire Le'Stat!! (hope I spelled his name right)β¦.the fact that you took that into consideration speaks volumes!!β¦...ALL STARS!! & PINNED!!β¦..Well done my friend!!β¦..and....What's this Challenge fromΒ Marion all about?....Stay groovy brother!!β¦..LOVE & ROCKETS!!β¦..T xoΒ : )
