Poem -

Sleep

Sleep, where are you??
In the darkness
My thoughts collide and scatter
They chase away sleep
As though it is the enemy
They seek solutions to problems
That are of monstrous size
That I may not even own
The ideas formed in the dark of night
Rarely stay in the morning light
When daybreak comes
And my supporting cast are revealed
And I am no longer alone
Tonight , perhaps, I will welcome sleep
It will be my friend
Thoughts can be tamed and trapped and left
until they can blend in with the ordinary
and be soothed by the daylight .
