Slipped Through

Slipped Through

The Offender
Slipped through
the restraints
Killing an officer
Father of four
with fury
that a rookie
would escort him

No more bedtime stories told
No more baseball games will be watched
No giving away of the bride
A family's loss
due to an inmate's rage

At trial
the offender claimed
that the officer
had owed him
a cell phone
as he made a payment
through a pen pal
No evidence suported
This

With all the strength
of a "Sampson"
The Offender
lacked the
internal courage
to own up
to what he did
Hopefully the needle
will be

friendly reminder....................

Someone told me that when an inmate kills another inmate it's punished, but no big deal...

Prison Officers have secrets...

Do they not?

Great write!

Thank you for sharing...

Thank you Sparrowsong.  It is however a huge deal if another inmate kills one of his own.  Fights not as much
