Slit

Slit

Slit,
Bled forgotten unwritten words.
Slit,
Bled rotting broken verses.
Slit,
Bled stagnant viscous memories.
Slit,
Bled salty washed up hopes.
Slit,
Bled looping tentacular thoughts.
Slit,
Bled choked unsung notes.
Slit,
Bled parched unloved love.
Slit,
Bled lonesome lightless life.

Slit,
Rather bleed than hemorrhage.

"...rotting broken verses" are not in your repertoire...regardless of what dark thoughts fuels your poetry...

As the present piece attests.

Chilling, dark...and very moving.

Shukriya so much Jason. You really are too kind. :)

Words can have a decaying effect on their carrier if they form sentences but remain unexpressed for longer than they should....thus the rot.

As does love...left dammed and unexpressed, it festers in the blood and rots the very core of the carrier.
