Slow down abit ?

I remember we had a party on
Saturday night
But then I blinked & ‘Oh My God’
This cannot be right

I woke up this morning
Thursday is here again
How can this have happened
Is somebody fooling my brain ?

They say when you get older
Time goes so very fast
But Crikey moses’
Five days has raced passed

I wish life would go slow
It makes me abit blue
Wasn’t it not long ago?
I was just twenty two

Married life was so new
I had my very first born
I laid her wrapped in her cradle
So cozy & warm

Guessing life was that hectic
I was ‘All on the go’
I had two more children
Three girls now you know

Now two of mine of mothers
They have children of their own
All sister, no brothers
But ‘Golly gosh’ they have grown

Tho ‘Grandma’ suits me fine
It makes me sit down & ponder
I’m in the ‘Twighlight of my time’
I dread the ‘Happy land up yonder’ ?
