Slowly falling

Slowly falling

In the beginning it’s far away.
You can’t seem to ever reach the end.
You see it in the distance waiting
for you to start falling
into that deep dark black hole.

Soon enough you get there.
To the point where you start shaking,
your bones trembling,
your heart beating,
the fear consuming all you are.

It overcomes you.
The deep black a few steps away,
filling you with emotions
until breath seems out of reach.
And yet you can’t stop walking.

Finally you fall.
No light to be seen,
no screams to be heard.
And in the end you know,
you won’t ever be saved.
