it's malevolant dark
That eats up this street
creeping through windows
Blackening moons

devouring the sleeping
The babes in the beds
disappearing spiders 
From sly cobby webs

and I'm scared where I lay
in the dark of this room
Where a fear is crushing 
all faith into doom

the whole world has vanished 
Every planet and star 
never has god seemed
So useless and far
