Small Fires

Oh small fires 

are starting up again

some burning through the night

causing the deepest pain

sensing duel bewilderment

and a worrisome heartache

small fires starting everywhere

causing widespread earthquakes

tidal waves crash on the shores

and little volcanos

erupting throughout the land

spitting out indepth venom

bravo, this is a game

fought to be won

on a cats tail tall story

with a long stick cut out

from a wooden burlesque fence

and a moonlit dance taboo

the air can breath tonight

an exulted pursuit of love has been remitted

to those who thought it forgotten

the small fires keep burning

but the nightime is mine all mine
