Smug Face

Smug Face

I want to hate you.
Your smug face.
Who do you think you are?

I loved you.
I stood by you.
You cheated.

You begged me.
Said you would change.
Things were better than ever.

But, it is different now.
You are more important.
My thoughts and feelings don't matter.

The bad behavior has crept back.
Moody, distant, secretive.
You are self centered.

Old feelings of worthlessness.
Why can't I be enough?
You promised to love me forever.

Who do you think you are?
Your smug face.
I want to hate you.
