Snow Never Felt So Good

She walks down the stairs
Then back up
She has a knot in her side
As her heart race picks up
She wonders why she feels the need to
This must be what men feel when they do what they do
With a sudden burst of gumption
She walks to his door and says, “hey”
He was sitting at this desk with oval glasses,
And she loses all she was going to say.
Before he can respond she replies
That she will be gone on Wednesday.
Why.
Why.
Why.
She turns to leave and she feels the
Warmth rising to her face
She runs down the stairs to remove herself
From the smell of apples in his place
It’s spring outside but there is frost in the air
And as it touches her cheeks she thinks to herself,
“snow never felt so good.”
