~ So Ever Green ~
![~ So Ever Green ~](https://cosmofunnel.com/sites/default/files/styles/full/public/2021-08/201581179083.jpg?itok=Q7N-LEUd)
I feel the green, the dark and lime
Of the woods behind my home,
A place where silence, sings so boldly,
Born from the traffic jams of my youth.
I can sense the green in the leaves moving,
The winds so soft and skin-caressing,
So unequivocally tall and proud,
These trees,
So ever green....
Its sizzling quality of color
Overwhelms the curvature of the silence,
And beckons me, to see far between,
Deep, into the coolness of its shadows
It begs of me, to listen hard
To listen, just below,
Into that place where slow things move
And slower still, to things that grow,
Where I become a life,
That beautifully breathes,
In the woods,
Behind my home...
It is here, I give rise to song
Where words are my source,
And observation, its blood
As the green of these trees
Become a cul-de-sac,
At the very end
Of a very long road.
A place where I can dream,
Where I can finally find true rest
For this well traveled bag of bones,
And no longer feel alone,
In the woods,
Behind my home...
So,
Ever Green have become my days
So filled with joy, my nights
That I pray, through most powerful dreams
That the syncopation of my Third Eye
Forever remains a worthy leap
And a gentle reminder
Of what it means,
To live a life,
That beautifully,
Breathes....

Hello Tony :)
I sense the reconnection through meditation and nature in this beautiful serene read. Finding solace, grounding and awakening in the powers of earths natural canvas. Attuning the senses and soul to the infinite wonders and forces, that reside in natures bosom. An exquisite read indeed my friend

A beautiful and beguiling poetry time machine is what you are Tony.
For you transport readers to another place in time to relive all that's around them in vivid surroundings and the solace of quietude.
Beautifully written and presented poem that takes a reader on a venture, a journey and said journey is good and always worthy to travel on.
And your imaginative mention of the Third Eye simply bowels me over and speechless, such a fathomless imagination you project and kindly share.
And Gwen in her comment mentions your good self being an inspiration on here and I agree and can only add an inspiration with a beautiful poetic mind.
I'm back tomorrow to play catch up with more of your poems Tony and I'm looking forward to travelling in poetic time.
Nos da my friend and see you on the flipside.
