SO MANY OUT THERE SHOWING LOVE TO THE LONELY

 
So many out there showing love to the lonely
How much is true how much is phony
So sad to think they would break someone’s heart
When it was all about self from the start
So many agendas that are not about others
They are about themselves the love shown is smothered
When they achieved their goal something they stole
Be it money or goods or a heart left unwhole
What makes someone to want to hurt others
Is it their own pain which causes love to be smothered
I understand there are many on this earth
Who are poor unloved who have struggled since birth
But deception does not make things right
It is for love that we need to fight
We all need to be an example one way or another
To ignore the pain or deceive love does smother
So many out there choose to show love to the lonely
How much is true how much is phony
So many out there choose to ignore the pain
To not show others love what does that gain?
