So They Danced...

When The World Stopped

So They Danced...

They waltzed, like ethereal twins deep into the broad hall
Like phantoms, into the problemed poetic, they did glide
Where atypical truths, on addiction and God, came to light
Secrets of dead lovers uncovered, 'neath death's sinewy sprawl
They danced, when the world stopped, so came the call...

Where once love was given, eventually came lustful philanthropy
Like two tit mice, they dug themselves holes, very far from reason
Burrowing their way into respect, cheating their way into treason
They, of course, became the vampires of their own circuitry
Where creativity became the drug and love became blood money...

But morphing in and out, walled far too much to bear
Like window dressing, grew more glamorously complicated
With public proposals, perfect demands, falsehoods gone unabated
With lies growing taller like the winter's wheat, an ebbing love affair
So they danced, when the world stopped, as their breasts came to bare...

In a cosmopolitan light, the game grew too lopsided and untrue
For one, or the other, to accept as untruth's cold hand of finality
So words spilled onto the page to paint their final chapter of reality
Found innocence torn asunder, all pain numbed, worn from their shoes
They danced, when the world stopped, and now, sing sweet liberty's tunes
Tunes of poetic release
Tunes of love mistreated.....

Hi Tony. It is a very interesting write with the use of dance as a great metaphor within this piece of love. Maybe a complex love?
So the story continues.....
oohh ok will read on when it appears.
good idea about doing a series.
Px?

" If, you are asking, I am dancing. "
On, the ceiling, of emotional investment. At, a " T-Dance," on a lazy afternoon, when " old acquaintances " be refreshed by re-living old glories, raised by comparing present with past reflections, and attractions. Based on pursuit of vigorous energies spent on fun, and frivolity !! Away from necessary evils, and, home-grown task, to defy aging, and grading !! To, be consumed by passion, as well as passionate embrace, of reality. Within, your era, and within your scope of " Victory Dance " and grateful chance.
You, still, live " IT " up....hankering for past glories to re-visit ? And, show " that " old school  OLD DOGS do not know how to let things lie. And, die !! :) :)
LISTENING TO THE MUSIC ? :) :)
