Dawn before dawn

My mind wanders where sainted winds write
ancient prayers which fall as autumn comes
pain frays before the alter

thoughts raged without that dices throw
so these castle walls I can no longer creep.
mirrors smashed
scented drapes burnt,
fallen eyes
beneath a forgotten sight
