Social Media's Curse

When the news travels fast
I never knew I wouldn't know
My tragedy before the blows
A touch of a finger
The world will see
What my future suffering will be
Hours go by
The notifications come in
Normally a laugh
At someones future sins
Not tonight
As I lie awake
Checking my family's thoughts tonight
There it is
The words so stark
The raw emotion I feel
Betrayed by my family's name
Why didn't I know the tragedy today
With death in the air
Tears will fall
Yet I am betrayed without a phone call
Everyone knows
Everyone saw
To say they are sorry
Condolences and all
I am not ready
I have not processed
Why must I find out
After the masses

Hello Alicia...
The text message to let you know or to find out the news online...
I told my friends and family members don't announce me that way until everyone close to me has been informed because I will know and you don't want to have to replace your computer or phone because, I will be back if you don't honor my wishes...
?
Great write!
Great message!

Your welcome. Our family learned something very personal and private from another family member online. Was just violating and embarrassing. Some things deserve a phone call or personal conversation. We are relying too much on social media for stuff and nothing is sacred anymore. It is sad. Thankfully most everyone on my side knows we will suffer more from the family if we let go our private matters without consent of all it effects.
