Societal delusions

People caught inside illusions,
Placed under societal delusions
People blind to the destruction
Blind to our evil constructions 

In the streets the humans dying
Everywhere the people crying
Hate and fear contaminating minds
Furthering the degeneration of mankind

The leaders get drunk with power
They always cause the madness
Why don't they see we can fix this mess?
They stay blind to the earths sadness

Soon will come the day when we see
We must change our ways
Treating the world like a landfill
How have we let it get this out of hand?

Now in chaos we keep ignoring
The state of earth is what we should be restoring
No more hatred we're all the same
All Just characters playing a game

We must realize we are the saviors
No one's saving us from our behavior
It's only us who can save the earth
It's us who needs to see how much it's worth
