Society

Society

Can't comprehend feelings.
Say things right or wrong.
Judge too hard.
Sugarcoat beautiful truths.

Baby emotions till they crack.
Shattering many dreams.
Hopeless memory forgotten,
Leaving strangled strangers.

Many feelings left dead.
Killing all heart's along the way.
Denied truths told,
While locked up, like prisoners.

Hey, Ella.
A friend of mine once said to me when I asked his opinion on a private matter--an opinion I wasn't too happy with,
"Hey, Deano. You asked, I answered.
I ain't gonna sugar coat it.
I'm not Willy Wonka."

I immediately thought of what he'd said to me after reading this.
Well penned!

Well written, Ella. A lot of different emotions at play here, with societal vibrations seeping through the skin to create chaotic thoughts, being the prevalent one, it seems to me.
