Soldier Boy❤️
Oh precious soldier boy
with Lion heart and duty bound
with Country honour of fighting spent
and in your remains a hero found
With patriotic innocence to War
you walked with pride
into battle to fight
where only rising cowardice to hide
Then what's to learn
but that bravery is born to conquer fear
and freedom won on a Mother's dropped tear
Yet you soldier boy will
forever in memory remain
the ultimate image of pride
and known saviour in name
And with each annum passing
we will keep your sacrifice in our heart
then never forget in it all
you were the greatest part!

Hi Wendy, what a wonderful remembrance tribute you have written here. War is a terrible, horrible thing. To think of all those young lads in the world wars killed when so young. The boys in your picture look like they should still be in school not off to the trenches. Your poem struck a chord. Well written x
