Somber Sensation

Grasping the outlying confinements of insanity

Questioning the interpretations of reality.

Sensitizing neither dignity nor vanity

But a quandary that emits futility.

I contain bewilderment pertaining to life.

My intricate mind is imbued with strife.

Though my wavered intellect contemplates boundlessly all is void

Vacant of the simplest fidelity, I permit fate to be licentiously employed.

Hearing all, yet not certain what,

I possess no key and every door is shut.

I hear mirth

Yet doubt its worth.

An element of a feeling vaguely remembered

Perhaps a sentiment that's been slurred.

My smirk is painted on lips of scorn.

Smiling to satisfy others by this adorn.

My eyes are broadly unlocked

But perception seems to be blocked.

Welcoming the blackness again

Entombed with sleep, I'm able to win.

Calamity

Calamity

Shattered glass, blood stains

Death avowed, tragic losses

I called out for you

Chagrin

Knew it couldn't be

Gave you a part of my heart

Hope you treasure it
