Poem -

Some days

Some days I am the quiet

With pain on the inside

That people can’t understand

Some days I am the loquacious

With happiness to abide

And that’s when people begin to comprehend

Some days I am the mean

With hate, cruelty, and pride

Then people start to show again

Who I once was

Yet other days I am the caring

With a sense to be sort of daring

But most of all…

Some days I am the lost and alone

With nothing but sorrow in my bones

Can you see me now? Will you listen to the aching in my heart?

Today I am the strong

With power and a voice bigger than all

Yet tomorrow I will be the sad

With nothing but a bag of childish thoughts

And no one will ever understand

Why I celebrate and sing myself.
