Someone else's shoes

Someone else's shoes

I look at myself and think "why can't I be like her, everybody loves her because of her looks, and not me. "
She's a perfect blue eyed blondie
Who's skin is a perfect tan, and hair is a perfect wave
But I stop to think after that " what does she think of herself? "
Would she rather not have all these boys and girls chasing after her, just to show her off?
Does she look in the mirror every day telling herself that no one really loves her and isn't good enough, believing every word?
Because such a lonely sadness fills those bright blue eyes every day and night
And her pure white smile is always the way to cover her hate for the people around her
And for now, I think I'll stop wishing to be in someone else's shoes, for we never know how much pain they really feel
