Poem -

Something Fell; and Something Rose

Some type of trance, and flaming tongues, and fearless flight.
What prompted such music—a cellar heart; and so sober,
Peering at beauty; and so loud—intensely unheard; and so
Voiceless, a haze and fog; and but seconds, something fell.

So intimate the untamed: a hidden impulse: a faceless carpet;
And so the light—a sworn dimension; but fever was absent.
Something fell; and something rose; and something lives—
Undisclosed; and marble souls—and sutured gold—and

Mythic minds—blazing bold. We were so near: so near to
Touch; and such was wrought—a fountain ebb; and such
Was stirred—a mental pond. I ponder not a sudden trance;
And soul to Soul—a mythic dance; and polish prayer—a
Privy thought: a Haven High: a holy walk; but such is pride—
A need to know: a smitten heart: a flaming snow.
