Something i missed!

Yesterday i sat on a bench in a park,
Looked at the sky and saw a lark;
Beside it, there was a blue balloon;
Rising above too soon.
And here below, a child-
The owner of the wild,
Was staring at it;
With his face lit, 
With a beautiful smile; 
As the ball was a mile,
Away from him.
If i was him,
I would surely cry;
And the beauty of the sky-
When the balloon was kissed!
Was something i missed.
