Poem -

somethings got to give

I'm so tired of the pain
And undeserving burdens
Pressure so tight
I can feel all the burning
Suffocating my air
Like I have to earn it
Some things got to give
Before I give into the yearning
Staying strong only last so long
My soul is drained
And my heart has been mourned
My eyes are empty
You clearly see I'm torn
Don't bother to understand
Its my own thesis
Some things got to give
Before I'm resting in pieces
Some things got to give
I'm not ready to meet Jesus
I'm disgusted with life
Straight sick flu season

Michelle….  sickness can surely bring a person down until they are so depleted by it that getting through the discomfort, depression, etc. is really a burden.  The symptoms in the poem describes a soul sickness not a so much a physical one; a drained soul, a heart mourned, eyes empty and disgust with life.  Soul sickness is much harder to cure.  Good write!
