Sometimes

Sometimes
I want
To go
There
Where
The alternative
Form
Of conciousness
Becomes
the
Drum Major
Of the
Marching
Band
Called
My life
For I have
come to
Realize
That
the parade
Is just
A fabricated
Illusion
That
Impersonates
"Meaning"
And
the mandatory drill
A mere exercise
That
Takes
One
To social
Conformity
In reality
Though
I prefer
To either
Become
Comfortably
Numb
To my
Existence
Or
A
REFUGEE
TO
THE
TROUBLES
THAT
BURDEN
ME.......

thanks
For
The input.
I make alot of typos lol!
Most of my poems
Are done within 2 to 3 minutes,
So I do not always catch
The mistakes
Lol
2-3 minutes, that's incredible.
I have a confession to make: I'm dyslexic. I rely heavily on Grammarly and Microsoft spell check. I need my books on tape fully absorb the material. I have some traditional schooling as an English major; however my grammar and punctuation skills are unfortunately an undergraduate level. I hope that will change in time.
Thanks for sharing with me more about your writing style.
Have a great day.
Keep writing.
So glad I found your poem.

I went to law school and hold a second master's in Criminology. Typos will always be there lol
Outstanding!
I started my education in 2001, to study programming/networking, however my issues with transposing numbers and letters inhibited my success in a networking class. So, I switched majors to English. Unknowingly at the time, I was dyslexic and could have used disability services, I had a hard time in college due to my reading level. The classes I excelled in was: martial arts and disability studies.
Thanks for the reply.
