Somewhere.

I walk alone in the darkness of the night.
Around me wild animals wild eyes shine bright.
Afraid i am not.
Gods will my soul has got.
The dark sky empty of stars.
The dark roads empty of cars.
I walk, my pace middle age slow.
Around me a cool nightly breeze does blow.
My destination nowhere.
But i know i will end up somewhere.
Somewhere over that well known rainbow.
Where a gold filled pot does richly glow.
Darkness still deep black.
I hear a duck quack quack.
I hear her young shuffling behind her back.
They are travelling along their night time track.
I still walk in the darkness of the night.
Looking for that colourful and golden rainbow sight.
Good night.
Sleep tight.
