Poem -
Somewhere Between Our Now and Thens
can you still feel
where
we once were
and where we
have since been ..
not forgetting
of course,
all those other
places we
both somehow,
managed to
just squeeze in ..
between
the gaps that is ..
which still
exist to serve
and to separate
all of our
here and nows
from our
there and our
thens ..
I know I still do
albeit occasionally ..

Hi Neville, memories seem to stem from the little things, the feelings not the actual memory itself...like if I get a good surprise , it the events surrounding that really resonate and grapple into my mind, unfortunately this works with sad memories too.
