Somewhere Out There

Somewhere Out There

There's a dirt road
We'll follow it forever
At the end is hope
Or so the folktales say
Still, we walk the byways
For our homes are gone
And there's nothing left
But the words we say
Gather by the fire
Gather by the river
Gather in the shade
Of an old willow tree
Rest your feet, my people
For dirtĀ roads stillĀ lie ahead
And hope there's refugeĀ  somewhere
For both you and me
